"Choquequirao to Machu Picchu"

Choquequirao (Cradle of Gold) is the sister city of Machu Picchu, located in similar locations in the hills on the barrel of a river, in places almost inaccessible, with a spectacular view and interconnected by good deeds Inca Roads.

DAY 1: CUSCO / CACHORA / CHIQUISCA

DAY 2: CHIQUISCA / MARANPATA / CHOQUEQUIRAO

The Choquequirao name means "Golden Cradle” and this is regarded as a sister city of Machu Picchu by their similarities, such as being 1500 meters above the Apurimac river in a similar latitude and Machu Picchu are above the Urubamba river. It was an administrative and religious center. It covers more than 8 hectares and only one third has been discovered and every day archaeologists discover more. .


DAY 3: CHOQUEQUIRAO / MAIZAL

we leave early after having walked by the ruins and leave by the back, passing through a rain forest until the passage of Choquequirao. Then we continued calls by some terraces Pinchiyoc that means where the water jumps. These terraces are curious ritual sources. It seems that grew here in time for the Inca citadel of providing the food.
We continue to Rio Blanco where lunch. In the afternoon down a valley toward Interandean Maizal where we camp.


DAY 4: MAIZAL / YANAM

Today we left early and walked around the Corihuarachina snowy, therefore important archaeological remains were found, as channels Incas. Then we went through the passage of Mines Victoria where the colonial era in the Spanish extracted silver. Continuing along the spectacular valley of the shadow of Yanam snowy Pumasillo where we camp.

DAY 5: YANAM / TOTORA

After a delicious breakfast, go out for a walk and we are surrounded by the beautiful mountains of the Cordillera Vilcabamba, climbing toward the passage of Yanama, the highest of our journey. In the afternoon we descend along a river to the village of cattail, where there is an exquisite tranquility and fresh air surrounded by glaciers, Salkantay, Pumasillo and Padreyoc. We camped.


DAY 6: TOTORA / WIÑAYPOCO

We went out early and we follow the river Totora, and then enter into a tropical rain forest through another village in Lluscamayo and reaching a pampas Colca, known for its hot springs. Then the route continues left flank of the Rio Santa Teresa, we'll see where plantations, bananas, passion fruit, cocoa, coffee and others. Coming then to a plateau of grasslands, where we camp.


DAY 7: WIÑAYPOCO / PALTALLACTA

Since early follow the path by the river Santa Teresa, through banana plantations, fruit, coffee and cocoa. Then we crossed to the other side of the river and climb up the rainforest to the passage of Puncuyuc and then descend to our camp in Patallacta.
The panoramic view is spectacular, as we shall see the back of a different angle and the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.


DAY 8: PALTALLACTA / HOT WATER

Today we go down a path of flowers and orchids up the river and Aobamba crossed a bridge near the central metallic Hydro. Then we got to the line of the train, where we can expect the arrival of the train that will take us to HOT WATER, where we spend the night in a hotel and relax in their baths.

DAY 9: MACHUPICCHU / CUSCO

Early got on the bus towards the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, to take a tour of this wonder of the world. In the afternoon take the train back to Cusco.
